The Bridge Between

Lucy Beizer is a Brooklyn based fiber artist working primarily with recycled textiles. Her work focuses on nature, memory, nostalgia and conservation. She incorporates found and reused objects into her fiber pieces, as well as natural dyes, scrap yarns and fabrics, and original illustrations. Lucy uses art as a form of creative record keeping and as a way to communicate and connect. By utilizing many fiber techniques in her work such as sewing, knitting, embroidery and dyeing, Lucy creates multidimensional, whimsical landscapes and figures. Lucy graduated Skidmore college with a BS in studio art and has exhibited her work in the US as well as internationally. She currently works as an art educator and studio artist in New York City.
